Aura Cacia began in Weaverville, California back in the early 1980s, when its founders discovered the power of essential oils and aromatherapy. They realized there was a huge demand for natural aromatherapy products, and decided to meet that need head-on. Before long, their success attracted another essential oils company, and in 1993, Frontier Natural Products Co-op purchased Aura Cacia, making the company even stronger and more reputable.
Today, Aura Cacia is based in Iowa and sells 100% pure essential oils and skin care products made from those oils, offering people a simple, easy way to benefit from aromatherapy. The company uses certified organic oils whenever possible, and follows ethical, sustainable business practices by adhering to their Well Earth™ sourcing program, which ensures fair employment, environmental stewardship and strict quality inspection of their oils.
Why We Love Them
Aura Cacia makes it easy to treat yourself to high quality aromatherapy. They know that only pure essential oils deliver true aromatherapy benefits, so they make sure they don’t sell anything less than 100% authentic products.
Sourcing from suppliers in Europe, the Ukraine, Oregon and Australia, the company offers a wonderful assortment of pure essential oils, including lavender, peppermint and tea tree. Their essential oil blends come in a range of potions designed to energize, inspire, calm or relax; whatever you’re going for, these products are sure to set the right mood. The company’s aromatherapy products include massage oils, bubble bath, bath salts and powders, and body washes. Each one smells divine and leaves you feeling like a new person. Aura Cacia also offers oils and bath products for kids and babies. Calm your wee ones, or even brighten their spirits, while you bathe or massage them. Trust us – you’ll be as delighted with the scents that linger on your hands as with your kids’ improved moods.
We love that Aura Cacia provides a simple way to brighten our days. But there’s more. This company observes strict animal-friendly policies; none of their products are tested on animals, and the only animal by-product they use is beeswax. They’re also eco-friendly, using recyclable packaging and post-consumer recycled materials whenever possible. As if they needed to do more to put us in a great mood!
