EO stands for Essential Oils, as that's where it all began. In 1995, founders Brad and Susan were asked to create five essential oils blends for Bloomingdale's holiday gift guide. This began a creative process that would grow their team from 2 to 40 and now today, to 90 employees.
Brad and Susan pioneered certifications in the skincare industry. In 2004, EO became a certified organic manufacturer, with certification from the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF). Then, in 2011 they became the first personal care company to be certified on-GMO by the Non-GMO Verified Project. At the time, EO had to follow certification guidelines set out for food producers, as unlike today, certification was a rarity in the skincare industry!
Why We Love Them
We love EO's all-natural hand sanitizer. Did you know that they were asked by Whole Foods to manufacture this product in 2006? With FDA approval, they became a verified OTC manufacturer of America's first organic hand sanitizer, 99.9% effective against most common germs.
We also love their 3-in-1 soaps that take the place of shampoos, body washes, and bubble baths! Not only are they versatile but like all EO products, they're certified organic, non-GMO, synthetic fragrance-free, cruelty-free, and gluten-free! EO truly turned the personal care industry on its head by breaking barriers and producing all-natural, effective skincare.
